Charge transfer between samarium atoms and ions in the ground states is resonant because J of 4f electrons subshell inside 6s electrons is 0. On the other hand, charge transfer between samarium atoms and ions in the lowest excited states, that is, Sm(F) and Sm(F), has two reaction paths which are resonant and non-resonant since J of 4f electrons inside 6s electrons is 1. In the present paper the cross sections of charge transfer between samarium atoms and ions in the lowest excited states were calculated by solving the coupled equations considering interactions among all resonant and non-resonant states in the impact-parameter method. It is found that the cross sections are much larger than those calculated on the assumption of the independence of the resonant and non-resonant reactions and a little small compared with the usual symmetric resonance charge transfer.
